Roger T. Sauer is Senior Writer for the TRAVELSCRIBBLES blog. He holds a doctorate in education from Seton Hall University and has been a teacher, principal, and superintendent in Oregon schools. As a travel writer for the past few years, Dr. Sauer has written features on topics as wide-ranging as touring Tibet to deciding on taking children out of school for a trip to Disney World. Other articles have featured Kapalua on the island of Maui, Tokyo,the Oregon coast, Palm Springs aand Kauai. He and his wife Donna travel extensively and spent five weeks on a European trip in the fall of 2010 followed by a Transatlantic cruise on the Disney Magic.
